Kamat Gardens

The garden was an important aspect of ancient Egyptian culture. Elite homes, temples, and even tombs had gardens so that the people, the gods, and even the dead could enjoy a small oasis in their abodes. The Kamat Gardens provide a reconstruction and education of the garden in the different contexts of ancient Egyptian culture, and reveals the significance of the plants and animals that made their homes within them. Kamat Gardens then goes beyond the garden to the plants and animals that were daily employed in the lives of the ancient Egyptians, and researches the significance and benefits of their flora and fauna.
